Yes, since Garchomp is a Dragon/Ground type it is resistance of Electric attacks. And it protects itself from Fire,Water, and Grass and cuts half of it's damage. It is also really strong. Tyranitar has Earthquake and can whip out most Pokemon, especially Steel types. When using Tyranitar in Double Battles make sure you have Lugia, Charizard, or Latios in the battle too. Latios has the levitate ability which resist all Ground type moves. Lucario is high in attack, not only that it has strategy and powerful moves when it levels up. Lugia is high in Def, Sp. Def, HP, and Speed. So if you want a defensive, quick buddy in the battle, bring out Lugia. Charizard is also quick, and it has really powerful Fire attacks. It could whip out Ice, Grass, and Steel Pokemon.

I hope this helps!
