Well, it's not on how better it is, but how much memory you have in your hard drive. A 60GB PS3 has less memory than an 80GB PS3. So therefore, an 80BG PS3 is better, if that's what you want to call it.
The first 60GB was the most expensive to make and to purchase and is a better collectible and has high resale value. The second 60 GB that came out with the first 80 GB is better than any other 80 GB except the first 80 GB that also came with 4 USB ports. It is because of the equipment that is no longer present in newer PS3 that the models are considered better and not for the harddrive size. Either are very useful for hard drive size when compared to the PS3 slim 250 GB see related links
It is only on the 60 gb and 1st 80 gb models.
Do not mean the PS3 with the PS3 Move Controllers and Playstation Eye because they do have more games available than the connect. It also is much cheaper to Purchase a PS3 320 GB with the Undefeated 3 bundle $300 and the Move Bundle $80 than to buy a 320 GB Xbox 360 model with the Kinect and a Game
It depends on your system model and size. If it is 120 GB or bigger, you cannot. If it is a 20, 60, or 80 GB PS3, you can. There may be Pacman games on the Playstation Store.
Some versions have wifi built in other need it by usb ports when the ps3 came out the 20 gb was almost bare bones compared to the 60 gb version which has more features than the current 80 and 40 gb ps3's and a built in wifi card
You only can play PS2 games on the First models of the PS3 Fat most of the 80 GB models and all of the 160 GB Fat models do not play PS2 games. The only ones that do are the 60 GB model and the 80 GB model with the 4 USB ports. 80 GB PS3s with only 2 USB ports do not play PS2 games even if they are the Fat Ones. yeah you can but only the ps3 fat not the slim , and you can also play ps1 games on ps3 fat ( remember only ps3 fat ) .
A 80 gb will hold more memory.. you can use the 80 gb more if you plan on haveing your ps3 a while and plan on having alot of games
A PS3 250 GB Slim for only $349.99 USA retail is much better for those who don't care about backwards compatibility. For those who do care about backwards compatibility and some other lost PS3 features the first PS3 60 GB is clearly the best.
ps3 80 gb.
They all play PS3 games and Only a PS3 with 4 USB ports will play PS2 games. It is not based on harddrive size except that no PS3 other than the 60 and 80 GB size had 4 USB ports. Some 80 GB PS3 had only 2 USB ports and some 60 GB PS3 were hardware based PS2 emulation and others were partially software based emulation.
Yes and no. Only on the ps3 60 gb, and maybe a 80 gb. All 60 gigs are backwards compatible. Only one 80 gig.
depends wher u live if ur in the UK the 60gb is better as it has 4 usb ports has 3 card readers and can play ps2 game but in the us the 80gb is better -eyes fire2- 60 gb best all they way 80's can't play ps2 games
It is only on the 60 gb and 1st 80 gb models.
The ps3 80 gb gets the rlod the most and does not have bakwards compatibility with PS and ps2 games.the 40 to 60 gb one has backwards compatibility.it rarely gets the rlod
hi it's worked but not with all ps3s it's just workes with (ps3 60 gb) and some times on ps3 80 gb
80GB. The only difference between the two are the hard drive capacities.
$150-$200 There are different models and the early model that plays PS2 games has 4 USB ports and sells for more than the PS3 80 GB model with 2 USB ports. Since many people have the concept that all 80 GB models play PS3 games sometimes the newer PS3 120 GB model will sell for less and have better reliability because of the lower power consumption of the Slim Models Gamestop sells the PS3 80 GB 4 USB port model for $229.99 refurbished Gamestop sells the PS3 80 GB 2 USB port Model or 60 GB 4 USB port model for $219.99 refurbished New PS3 320 GB Uncharted 3 bundle is $299.99 everywhere
You can not. Many PS3 80 GB models do not have the 4 USB ports that allow backward compatibility and have no advantage over the 120 GB models anyway. The Fat PS3 consoles all do run hotter than the PS3 slim models and have shorter lifespans because of this. Sure you can replace the 120 GB harddrive with a PS3 80 GB harddrive if you also add the software for the 120 GB model. You can trade your PS3 toward a 60 GB PS3 model if you want, but you would be smarter to keep both models and only use the old PS3 to play PS2 games. There is no reason to want an 80 GB PS3 as the 60 GB model does not have the less capable partially software based emulation backward compatibility used in the 4 USB port 80 GB models and instead has the emotion engine to provide the best available backward compatibility used only in the first 20 and 60 GB PS3 for the USA and Japan.
