Best Answer

No, it is not. Flip Summons and Normal Summons are different things. Some cards can respond to both, but some can only respond to Normal Summons, and if so, cannot be used against Flip Summons.

Does a flip summon count as a normal summon?

No, a Flip Summon is not a Normal Summon. You can perform only one Normal Summon per turn, but can do multiple Flip Summons in one turn, without affecting your ability to Normal Summon. If a card triggers only from Normal Summon, then it will not trigger from a Flip Summon, etc.

Yes, this is legal. All Ritual Summons are considered a Special Summon. However, not all Special Summons are considered a Ritual Summon. A Ritual Summon can only be performed with a Ritual Spell Card and a Ritual Monster. A Special Summon refers to any monster that is placed on the field in a way that is not a Normal Summon, Flip Summon, or Set. Also, Ritual Summons are never considered a Normal Summon.

Can you tribute summon and normal summon in the same turn?

Under normal circumstances, you are only allowed one Normal Summon per turn. A Tribute Summon is a kind of Normal Summon, meaning that if you wanted to do both in one turn, you'll need an effect that specifically lets you, like Double Summon. Note that a special summon that requires tribute, is not a Tribute Summon. You can perform those in the same turn as a Normal Summon.
