Pidgey is the only flying Pokemon in red to evolve two times, so its base stats are stronger than most other birds. However, spearrow evolves in fearow and fearow has the powerful drill peck attack. Fearow is the Pokemon to get for offensive power and pidgey/pidgeot is the one to get for more rounded stats.
A Pidgey will be more worth even if it is hard to raise
An original Pokemon gold version that is in minted condition (meaning you haven't opened the box and it is undamaged) is worth 150 American dollars, however, a used version is barly worth 15 Dollars. Dont bother selling it.
Today a never played still in the box edition of Pokemon gold is priced around $98.44 compared to when it first came out it cost about $35.00 a used gold sells for around $42.00
Defiantly! I have one still and it's in perfect condition. Usable really well. Anyways, you could on the game get Lugia! and a few others, if you played it long enough. I have! :)
A Spanish 1st edition Machamp Pokemon card is worth around $20.

The Pokemon Red version is worth $10.00 dollars. You can usually find them at a local Game Xchange or a local Game Stop.

Depending on the version and condition of the Torchic card, it can be worth as little as a dollar or as much as $50.
A rare Pokemon to get in Wayward Cave and totally worth while in my opinion is Gible. Gible is the 'baby' version of Garchomp.
About $10-20 depending on version and condition of card
Pidgey evolves into Pidgeotto starting at level 18, and then Pidgeotto evolves into Pidgeot starting at level 36. Pidgey is #16 in the National Pokedex, and was introduced in the Generation I Pokemon titles (Red, Blue, and Yellow) where it could be found on Routes 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 12, 13, 21, 24, and 25; Routes 3, 14, and 15 (Red and Blue); and Route 11 and Viridian Forest (Yellow). In Generation VI (X and Y), it can be found on Routes 2 and 3.

Pokemon global link is free but you do need a copy of the pokemon black version or white version, and also a DSI. That will cost some money but I think that It's worth it. You can get berries and items and pokemon (too bad they are all lv.10) and send them into your game. You will also need a pokemon trainer club account and the C-Gear. Click on the Game Sync button in the online section. The Pokemon global link is out now!
