This is only my opinion, but yes. There are thousands of mods for TS3 PC that are simply not possible on the console/phone versions of the game. If there is something that annoys you about the game, there is probably a mod to fix it.

There are also hundreds upon hundreds of websites to download custom content for your sims game...everything from hair to clothes to paintings for the walls to...you get the point. There is a lot of free content and a lot of pay content. The free content (often times) is just as good as the pay stuff.

I played The Sims on console back when they released Bustin' Out (?) and found the controls to be less than satisfactory and the limitations of the system were too much compared to the PC version.

With the PC version, I feel like I get "more bang for my buck."
