Chain Fishing in regards to Pokémon games is constantly using one of your Rods in order to fish, chain fishing is the act of you getting a Pokémon bite on your rod consecutive times. This act will increase your chances of encountering a special Pokémon that's called a Shiny Pokémon however moving while fishing as well as not getting a bite on your rod will be 2 ways that will break your chain. Chain fishing is currently only possible in the Generation 6 games of Pokémon X and Y.
