It isn't really all that tough, actually to beat Roark with Piplup. Simply train it to at least level 8-which is when it learns Bubble; a strong move to use against rock types. If you have the time and the patience then you might as well train it to level 12 to 14, which is the level of Roark's pokemon. Have fun. ^.^
In Jubilife city (Acsessed after defeating Roark) or on the net on pokemon.com and look for the Global Trade Station and that is GTS.

Roark is the first gym leader in the Sinnoh you'll encounter, Roark is the son of Byron (another Sinoh Gym Leader), Roark is a master of Ground/Rock type pokemons, he has a geodude, onix, and cranidos, better to bring out a water or grass type pokemon, beware of cranidos's moves, so powerful..
