you can't turn your sim into a robot, but you can spawn a robot and have them be part of your family.
during game play open the cheat menu by pressing
ctrl + shift + C
when the menu opens type in
boolprop testingcheatsEnabled true
after that is entered, find an empty space on the ground and hold the ctrl button while you are clicking. you should have new options now. select spawn... and then "new servo" have a sim come and activate it and then you have a robot in your family.
