It depends on the console you have. I have only played the sims on PC and xbox. If you want to speed up time on the Sims 2 for xbox then you have to press the right trigger. If two players are playing then they both have to press on the right trigger. On the PC all you do is click on either the 2nd or 3rd arrow.
