Theres only one way I've ever actually got this to work with my video library.
Bear in mind I'm running NXE on mine, so I'm not sure how this will work on the blade front end. If in doubt, then upgrade. Also note I've only done this with DivX / Xvid coded video clips, but it does work. It also works on MP3's...
Now for how to do it....
2 Ways have worked to me, the cheap and easy way, or the harder and a bit more expensive way.
The first and easiest is You need a USB Storage device, like a memory key, or portable hard drive. Drop the video / music files you want onto the portable device, using your computer. Now plug the storage device into the USB ports on the front of your 360.
Turn on, then go to the "video library" part of the "my xbox" menu.
Press A on your controller.
Select "portable device" for the location, then press A again.
Now navigate the contents of your storage device to find the video you want to watch, and enjoy. The buttons on the controller do things like ffwd/rewind, or pause. You can also use the media remote this way, to control playback.
The other way is to set-up your 360 as a Media Extender.
This requires you to have a few other things set-up in advance. So you'll need:
* A computer running windows with media centre on it. * Some films on the computer * A way of creating a network from your 360 to the computer. The First two are relatively easy, if you have a computer with Vista Home Premium, then you'll already have this. The network can be as easy as plugging your 360 into a wifi router.
With this in place, have a look on Google for making your 360 into a media extender, its been covered so much that there is no point me writing yet another article on the subject.
The end result will be your Xbox 360 will connect to your computer, and play the entire media library from your computer, using the same menu interface as Windows Media Centre. If you have the optional media remote, this will work here as well.
This is a really good way to make use of the xbox 360, and for this reason I have my 360 next to the TV in my bedroom, so i can opt to watch films in bed, or have a quiet room to play when the wife is watching her tv programms.
put the firmware from your PC to a usb then connect the usb into the xbox360
NEVER PUT A HARDDRIVE ON A XBOX 360 ARCADE you should have bought the xbox 369 pro
Yes, all hardware for xbox 360 can be used on any xbox 360... except if it is the new xbox s... I'm not so sure with that one...
The Xbox 360 lt 3.0 is the new firmware (O/S) for the console. You will be given a chance to download the firmware when you turn and log onto your Xbox live account. However, you can just download the firmware yourself, put it on a CD and install it like that.
you need an xbox
Yes.
You can't. This is because the version of the Minecraft Xbox 360 is different from the PC Version.
No, as they will not have the Gameplay elements in them.
yes you can put an xbox 360 harddrive into an arcade 360
You can't only on xbox 360 or ps3
Yes you can.
You can trade the Xbox 360 for store credit, and with that you can put it towards the new Xbox 360.
just put the game in the xbox 360
Yes. Sometimes the flash drive has to be configured first but any USB will work. You can put songs, videos, and other items on your USB and transfer gamer profiles onto the drives as well.
either put a music CD in the disk drive or use a usb cable from a computer with music on it into the usb port on the xbox
No they don't but if you go to i think xbox360.com you can have original xboxgames work for 360 all you have to do is burn the software onto a CD and put it in the 360
If you have any type of iPod you can plug it in to the USB port and download it onto the Xbox. You can put CDs in the disk drive and download those songs.
