when you acquire the game it should come with 3 discs (for the xbox) when you make it to a certain point in the game it shows a screen asking for you to insert disc two. you press the open tray button on the xbox or on the controller menu. then insert the second disc, then close and wait a few seconds and there will be a loaded sound and the game should begin again.

I am not a totally aware of why there is 6 discs for call of duty 2 for PC but usually from my experience of games my only theorie is that there is 1 main game disc to play on and maybe the rest is for installing the game, or maybe there is an expansion disc added.
