How do you make your Pokemon love you on Pokemon Diamond?

To make friends with your Pokemon, on both Diamond and Pearl, you have to battle with them, and give them poffins. There are a few other meathods, such as the Luxary Ball (avalible in Sunyshore City, for a whopping $1000 Poke- the game's money).

Never trade Pokemon if you want them to like you. its easier that way. even if your Pokemon was traded and traded right away back to you, i tll hate you. also, in the resort area, there is a building where you are only aloud to go in if one of your Pokemon has 10 ribbons. if you go to the 2nd floor, you can massage your Pokemon there. that helps alot. you can only go to the resort area if you beat the Pokemon league..
