How do you make a torch in Minecraft?

Alright, well first you need to make sticks. First, to get sticks you will need to punch wood, hit E and then put the log into your 2x2 square that says Crafting. You will receive Wooden Planks, which you get 2 and put 2 of them facing upwards, and you will receive Sticks. Then, you have two options: Find Coal or Make Charcoal. To make Charcoal, you will be needing a furnace. To get a furnace, you must make a Wooden Pickaxe. To make that, I will show you a example: D= Wooden Planks, I = Sticks

Put ONE charcoal in your crafting on top (left or right) and ONE stick on the bottom (left or right). To find Coal, you will need to go mining, but I prefer making charcoal because it is very quick and easy to make.
