I wouldn't trust off-site guides as there isn't a guarantee that they are virus free and are updated.

There are also plenty of guides for you to look at. What kind of eAthena you want also depends on your operating system. For windows XP Pro (Service Pack 2), I recommend you go to this site:

The user compiles the most recent eAthena releases (when they can), and also provides already hexed sakray and xray exe's which you'll need later on in your server setup. They also include a mySQL 5.0 guide, which is the most up-to-date currently. Remember, as you'll find mostly everywhere on the forum, the search function is your friend, but I always find looking through the forums better.
