i don't know but for shiny Pokemon look for the shiny patch of grass with the pokeradar
There's no rare cards.
i don't know but i have one of them
Shiny Zubat are a rare instance of Zubat that are colored different. There is a very rare chance that any Pokémon you encounter in the wild will be shiny.
First, it depends on what rarity it is. There are kinds of rarity: -Common -Rare -Super Rare -Ultra Rare -Secret Rare -Ultimate Rare -Ghost Rare -Star Foil (In Star Packs) (Not all cards have all the rarities.) Then, it depends on the card itself. Certain cards in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Meta are priced based on how it is doing in the meta game or how rare like Tyler the Great Warrior, only one exists. That also includes tournament prize cards. Check on Ebay or any similar sites to check the average prices of the cards.

If the card is shiny, the Pokemon is a high level, or both then it is rare.
The grass looks different if it is rare.. it shakes differently and kind of shines. I don't think that you can tell ahead of time if it is shiny though.
Stated on the back of a booster pack will be the number of chances of getting a common, rare, etc. card in that booster pack series. If you want to know what booster packs has the best cards for the kind of deck you want to build, check out the Yugioh Wikia (yugioh.wikia.com) and you can look at a list of every card in every booster pack.

Every Booster Pack contains its own rare Pokemon Cards that are original to the Booster Pack, so every Booster Pack contains rare cards. *edit* If you're lucky, your reverse holo (or what some people call "shiny") card might also be a rare, so you can get one or two rares in one pack.
In generation 2, gold, silver and crystal, shiny Pokemon had higher stats than regular colored ones. after that, shinies are identical but are just a different color. people like shinies because they are ridiculously rare. your chances of finding one are 1 in 8,192. any Pokemon can be shiny. without cheating , the best way to find one is forget they exist and just play the game. if you go on a shiny hunt, you will drive your self completely nuts
Not necessarily. You get at least one foil card in every pack, and many promotional sets will have a shiny card in. Some cards are both rare and in foil, but foilness alone doesn't imply rarity.
While there are 'rare' football cards, not all football cards are rare.
