You move out! Put all of your furniture into your inventory, and move out. When you are in your new house, the sim that ran away will be there with the rest of your family. Only do that if when you click on the phone, and 'report ____ as missing' that they don't come back. If you are low on funds, on your keyboard type (while your on the game) CTRL, SHIFT, C. Make your teen never does his/her homework and make sure he/she does really badly in school. Then choose a member of the family to constantly yell at that teen. Eventually, the teen will run away if you treat him/her bad enough. To get your teen back, click on the phone and choose the option "Report missing person" and the police will eventually bring your teen back to the house.

So I think you might have to have low asparation as well, but I'm not sure. Well my teen sim after her dad died the mom got remarried, she fell in love with his son. Then everyone in the entire house except the son hated her like -100. but she came back after two sim days then she drowned in the swimming pool. Teen Sims run away when they have a bad relationship with everyone in the house. If your teen Sim ran away, you can either: 1. Wait until they're almost an adult and they'll come back OR 2. Click on your phone > Report (Sim's Name) Missing and the police will bring them back almost immediately.
