On the PS3, 1.6GiBs For the PC, 17.5GiBs is recommended.
Yes, all it is is a smaller more compact version of the original PS3. So no matter what year the PS3 game was made you can still play it on your slim. (It was sized down so it could store more mem and open up room space)
no but you can buy a 250gb ps3 for up to £300.
A PS3 eye camera is for the PS3 and not designed to be supported by PC software
nope, the playstation 3 doesnt have the same flaw as the 360 does. You can stand it up or have it flat, either way is fine... i prefer to have it standing up only because it saves space, and ive never had a problem with it.
Yes. But you will need one with a lot of free memory. When I swapped my HDD I bought 1.5tb external HDD for like £80.00. To back it up, go into settings and find the place where you back it up. Connect your ipod to your ps3 with the USB cable. Back it up.
Sounds like you either purchased a used PS3 with a smaller harddrive or you spent the past week downloading everything you saw. Clean it up in any case. If you have a PS3 slim they is no reason for your harddrive to be full so soon and it is not hard to delete unneeded and unwanted videos and Game Demos. Photos do not use much space, but do not duplicate and triplicate you file saves You can create some free space on the HDD,
No you cant!.
When I upgraded my HDD I bought an external HDD backed up ALL of the data on my PS3. Then I suppose you could copy that onto your PC. TO get it back to your PS3 system you would have to use an external HDD and just copy everything over. Or use lots of Memory Sticks.
Simply no bc the hdd`s content is encrypted to your ps3 serial number, so in other word just format it and begin all over.
To free up space delete things you no longer need. If you need space buy a bigger HDD. To improve speed buy RAM and a GREAT graphics card to keep you computer up to speed.
Which version is better is up to you, depending on where you live you have the following options: PS3 80GB (US) 80GB HDD, Card Reader, Backwards Compatible with PS2 games, 1 free game (Motorstorm) PS3 60GB (discontinued, search the stores if you want one) 60GB HDD, Card Reader, Backwards Compatible with PS2 games, 2nd controller, 2 games for free (Resistance and Motorstorm) PS3 40GB (Worldwide) 40GB HDD, No Card Reader, Not Backwards Compatible I won't write about the 20GB since you probably can´t find one anymore.
Did you format the drive to FAT32 bc if you don't then it will not show up.
The HDD available for the PS3 will likely increase from the 160 GB and 320 GB models currently being sold. The hard drive for the PS3 is designed to store games, add ons, photos, videos, and Music. This allows the PS3 to be more than just a game player. It is also so if you decide that you are more interested in not having a pile of video games taking up space in a drawer you can just download all your games. Then it was also designed to work with the PSP and the New PS Vita and you can keep those game downloads on your PS3 and access them from the PSP or PS Vita WiFi connection. PlayStation Plus also offers free games and add ons and reduced pricing on others and even free game trails that can soon take up more memory than you have available . In any case what you currently think of as so much memory might change and the PS3 allows you to add a standard laptop hard drive by upgrading the Hard Disc Drive to a 2.5" internal Serial ATA HDD.
It comes with a 512mb memory unit but its better to buy a HDD drive 20G or 60G you're better off with HDD drive because your games pile up and you start needing more space to save them on.
Yes & No you actually can swap the hdds but they are new so i am guessing you can back up on to a memory stick and copy to the hard drive then I added a link to "Can I upgrade the hard disk drive (HDD) inside my PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system?" that includes trouble shooting procedures. It may be of help and is part of the Playstation Support and Knowledge Center
on a single hdd you can get up to 2TB but then new ones are coming out every day and there are lot of different types of HDD's the new ones might have many hdd's in one box if you like but at the moment it only goes up to 2TB per 1HDD. There also are SDD's but they have very little storage space but are much more resistant to shocks like drops.
