Hate to tell you this, but every ps3 can play ps1 games including the slim. 20gb 60gb 80gb are backwards compatible with ps2 games.
If the ps3 has backwards compatibility. The only ps3 system that will play a ps2 disk. (not a burned or copied disk) The 20gb and 60gb and 80gb will work. The ps2 system data is a download off of the play station store. This download won't work on the ps3 slim. I download the ps2 system data file off of the play station store. Then after I download the ps2 system data folder. I putted the ps2 disk (not copied or burned) in the ps3 slim and it didn't work. The only ps3 that will play a ps2 game has to have 4 usb ports. If the ps3 has 2 usb ports it won't work. Every ps3 model will play a ps1 game. If you have a ps2 a ps1 game will play on it. The 80gb ps3 doesn't play as many ps2 games as the 60 and 20gb ps3 do. The 20gb and 60gb play the most ps2 games.
It depends, the 20GB and the 60GB versions of the ps3, it would work and play ps2 games since they used to support them, but now the took that feature off with the newer versions so if would say that the disc is not supported.

The 20gb to 60gb does but the slim and newer models don't.
Only if you have a PS3 that is backwards compatible with PS2 games. This includes the 20GB, 60GB, and 80GB models. If you do not have one of these models of PS3 you will not be able to play Ratchet Deadlocked.
You should buy the ps3 with the least space then upgrade to 500gb it isn't very expensive, you will save a lot of money that way.

It has 4 USB ports on it and is not the 20GB or 60GB PS3 1st Generation model. 3rd and later generations only have 2 USB ports on them and no card reader. The 4th Generation Model is the PS3 slim model
Yes, if you download the game off of PSN. Otherwise, you will be unable to play the PS2 version on a newer version of the PS3. Backwards compatibility for the PS2 is only functional in the 20gb and 60gb versions of the PS3.
