You get them from Spagonia in the Gaia Gate. Explore a bit and you should be able to find them.
Rock Climb isn't a move in the game. It wasn't introduced until the 4th generation games (Diamond/Pearl/Platinum).
In the wii version there is several ways to climb. One way is you wait until it flashes and says press b and our grab onto the wall. Another way of climbing is when you want to climb up a poll, you hold b while moving the wii remote up and down alternately. If you want to strafe across a wall just start walking sideways across the wall and he will strafe across it.
You need to find the right shoes. In the Xbox 360 version they're in Spagonia's Entrance Stage, but you can't get them until you have the shoes that let you stomp. THEY'RE in Holoska. I don't know about the other platforms.
It sounds like a caution sign for a video game: Obstacle! (warning you that something is in the way of passage) You don't have to stop, because you can figure it out. If you run into the wall (the obstacle) you can figure out how to climb the wall or walk through the wall. If you figure it out, you will be able to keep going forward.
You cant get the wall jumping shoes until you get the stomping shoes in Holaska then you find the jumping shoes in Spagonia.
