So imagine a tournament, it is usually best two duels out of three. If you win duel one using Victory Dragon, that's it, you don't need to play duel 2 or 3.
Even if you are 0-1 down, you can still win the whole match due to a single win with Victory Dragon.
However there is a flaw. A player can concede a duel at any time, and begin the next one. That means they can concede a duel just before you make the final attack with Victory Dragon, meaning you still only win one duel, not the match. This is mostly the reason for banning it.
