Hi, Before you start your next go, select your player from the cards at the top left of the screen. Access your player by selecting his/ her face. You should see your player and you can scroll up or down to look at career etc. Scroll to investments and select to buy. I couldn't buy right at the start of the game, but i could near the marriage bit. Hope this helps!
