How can you change the sprites of Pokemon in a Fire Red ROM?

First you are going to need to download some software. Look up Elite Map v3.7. That will give you all but 1 program that you may need. Next download IRfanview from irfanview.com. You will only need this if your Sprite is too large, but it's good to get ahead of time. Okay, open the Elite Map zip archive. Don't be overwhelmed by all that, we are only using 2 of the programs now. Scroll down until you see unLZ.GBA. Open that. Now there will be a button that says Goto. In the box next to that type 674. (without period) Now click Goto. You should see Charmander in the box. Click the Save As... button and save it wherever you want. You can name it whatever you want, but I recommend naming it Charmander. Close unLZ.GBA. Open the Charmander file you just made with Paint. If you did this correctly it should say Charmander (or whatever you named it).png at the top. Now you want to either color Charmander or move on to the next step to add your own sprite. Get the eyedropper tool and select the background color behind Charmander. Make sure that is in the backround. If you are pasting your own sprite, not just coloring it, paste in your version of the sprite and then color the background. Save it (NOT SAVE AS!!!) Now open unLZ.GBA and reopen the .GBA file and type 674 in the Goto box. You should see the old Charmander, the original one. Well, let's change that. Click Import and select your new "Charmander .png". Your sprite should show up. If it has an error box that says that the image is not indexed, that's when IRfanview comes in. Open up your sprite and click the Image tab/dropdown menu. Press Decrease Color Depth. Then click 16 colo(u)rs..
