This works for CODMW2, I don't see any reason that it shouldn't work for this one, or indeed all future releases in this franchise.

Howcome there is no more third person cage match on modern warfare 2 any more?
Because of the stimulus map pack added into it i believe they are putting 3rd person cage match backon as soon as they install the mp into regualr games e.g team death match and the stimulus map pack from the bottom matchg menu shall hopefully change back to 3rd person cage match

first, of course, log on and select MULTIPLAYER then select the first option on the list (forget the name) it will show a list of possible modes: player match, private match,.... select COMBAT TRAINING there you battle against computers and you can select their skill level
