The Sims 2 does not work with Wine, the most commonly used binary layer to run Windows programs on Linux. There are reports that the game is playable with Cedega, a proprietary fork of Wine, but you would have to pay for that.

try install windows xp service pack 2 then install the sims 3 but there might be a chance it will erase the data of the old windows xp if all sorry if this doesn't work.

You can check the box for required settings of sims 2 and that will be it for body shop. You need to know what your system has to be proficient, but will run on either MAC or Windows.

I installed Sims 2 Double Deluxe (Comes with the original Sims 2 game and the nightlife and party stuff expansion packs.) and it works great. I haven't had any problems with it. I have an hp laptop with windows 7.
