You need to connect to the DSi store, and pay for them there. You can then download them to your DSi.
I like my Nintendo 3DS, but it won't play gamecards, and I have neither the time nor the money for it to be repaired. So I've been downloading games onto it via Nintendo E-shop, and then I noticed that It was cheaper to go on Gamestop.com and get downloads there, but I am still completely new to downloading games onto my system, so I need advice before I pay for anything. So do you get a code and if so how to I enter it so I can get the game.
There are two rectangular buttons located at the back-left and back-right hand corners of your child's Dsi. One is marked with an L (with a picture of a camera next to it) and the other is marked with an R (with a picture of a camera next to it). You will notice that one of the buttons is permanently depressed from you child dropping your Dsi onto a hard surface. If you can pry the button out with a finger nail, all functioning will return to the photo album. Some games require the use of the buttons at the back of the Dsi. You can pay $85 to get it fixed, but you will have most of your Dsi's functionality restored if you can pry that broken button back out. *actually found this on another website, we had the same problem with my daughter's DSi
My DSi mic is broken too... you have to pay someone to fix it like nintendo or something that's the only way, but I don't think it's worth the pay so I just kept mine broken, it's up to you.
Yes, downloading Halo on line if you don't pay for it is illegal.
No, all the Nintendo DSi Centre is, is a database of links to sites that illegally distribute DS ROMs. When you sign up on DSi center, you are not 'buying the games', you are paying to view their database. Downloading the games themselves is still illegal, but DSi center is correct that they themselves do not provide any illegal software - they don't provide any software at all.

You'll need DSi points which you pay for at game stores, they come with a unique code which will transfer the points to your shop account. Downloading the data itself after that does not 'cost' anything as such, you need a wireless internet connection which someone will be paying for, but downloading things over it incurs no additional cost as per normal.
It is available in America but not UK however if you go on downloading websites for games and pay money you can download it onto your hard drive legally.
All games are 'copyright', ie, covered by intellectual property laws. To download games on a DSi though, you just need to access the DSi shop from the DSi's menu bar. Here you can spend DSi points (you pay for those at game stores) and buy downloadable games.

It depends. The iTunes app store has many games that are free and many that are not.
Yes, The original ds and ds lite can, but the new DSi can not.
You do not have to pay any money, above and beyond whatever you pay for your wireless internet connection, or any DSi points for use in the DSi store.
