If the graphics card has a Hdmi output, then I guess you could. My PC screen only has the computer connection so I'm stuffed. I would advise buying a nice big full HD tv maybe 37" like mine. However if you are a tight wod i guess you could get away with a 20" Hd t.v. .
You need a HDMI input for this to work on a laptop screen. The HDMI output is to allow the Laptop to be plugged into a HDTV and have the HDTV work as the Screen for the laptop.

No the laptop HDMI would allow the laptop to display on your HDTV just like the PS3 HDMI does or a PC HDMI does
PS3 does not have a screen the TV it is connected to has the screen and you use those controls. Most TVs have brightness and contrast controls that can be adjusted for the best picture whether you are using the cable box, TV tuner, DVD/VCR, or a PS3
I'm not a genius but yes i think so because i can also use them on my laptop.
No, the HDMI jack on the laptop is output only. You may use it to project your laptop screen on other devices such as monitors and TVs. In order to get other devices to be projected on your laptop screen you need a video card with video IN capabilities. I guess you can buy a cheep monitor an then use the HDMI port to hook up the xbox... or buy a TV. No. Laptops cannot be linked to.
