Yes u have to go to go to settings and the the internet. u have to have a wirrless connection to internet around u. if the connection is locked u cant use it with out the password. or another way is hook up sum stuff to the wii from your computer. the Usb connection on the back of the wii can be used for MI-FI, a usb or wireless mi-fi, from phone stores
