No, you do not. The regular game controller will work just fine. If you have a Sony HDTV and use a HDMI cable the HDTV remote will play the disc This may also work on other HDTV remotes, but I know that it works with the Sony HDTV

Technically no the xbox 360 does not have as good graphics as the ps3 because the xbox 360 uses something called red ray and the ps3 uses blue ray for there graphics. The red ray came out before blue ray so the blue ray is more detailed in graphics.
