There are many places to find arrowheads in Missouri. depending on your location you can just about jump into any creek in Missouri and find something. a lot of fields and caves hold some killer stuff. you should ask your local farmers if they know of any particular fields in the area where artifacts have been found. fields are hard to look in now days since all the farmers have basically went to no-till. have patience and do some investigating, even if you don't find anything, that just starts to narrow things down for you. happy huntin.
No. Obsidian is brittle.
Obsidian is an extrusive rock and is formed from rapidly cooling magma. Obsidian is also known as volcanic glass and one can find only sub-microscopic crystals in it. This is because it was cooled too fastly for large crystals to form. If the material that obsidian consists of were an intrusive rock and had a lot of time to cool down, one would find that it would be composed of easily visible crystals.
