the secret key is a thing to change the forms of rotom...... they are: fan rotom, wash rotom, heat rotom, mow rotom, and frost rotom. the secret key opens a secret room in enternal city where you can change rotom's forms. The Secret key is avalible only on via Nintendo Wi-Fi Conncetion April 20th Thru May 12th (thats my B-day!, may 12th). it is avalible at Toys R Us Locations in the U.S, Canada, and puerto Rico. There is an event for the secret key in Pokemon platinum in Australia do you need to catch Rotom before you can get the key or do you need the national dex or do u not need either?
you don't need either but its easier to have rotom so you can get the rotom forms faster.
