Buy E rated games instead of T or M rated games.
Its a mature game only for 17 and up
Portal 2 is a co-op game rated E10+
That's tough. The way I managed to convince them was to show them a Teen rated game like Goldeneye, and then an M rated game like Halo, to show them that there isn't that much of a difference between the two.
Depends on the parents opinion. The game is rated M for Mature, so you will not be able to buy it unless you are of age. ( age varies in different states)
Only if the game is rated "M".
18 years old
NO YOU IDIOT , M stands for mature, 17+ . Why would you buy that for a child ? want them to shoot people ? huh ?
no age, as long as you can play it You have to be 18 or over to buy M-RATED games in the U.S.
Yes, and if you aren't, they won't sell you the game
If you're in a store that doesn't mainly focus on video games, the answer is usually yes. If you're in a store like GameStop, for example, sometimes they stop you from buying the game, and sometimes they just warn you that the game is rated M and about the content of rated M games.
I think the game is rated M so more people would buy the game but i do agree that there is violence in it but if u dont play campaign there isnt much language so really i think it should be a T game not an M.
There's no such thing as a "rated R" game in the US. The closest ESRB ratings equivalent to an MPAA "R" rating for a movie would probably be M. It's not actually a crime for a retailer to sell or rent an M-rated game to someone under 17, or an AO-rated game to someone under 18. Most retailers do have a policy of voluntarily abiding by the ESRB ratings, though, and it can be difficult to find a place that's willing to incur the potential wrath of parents by selling M or AO games to children. In summary, the short answer is: you don't. Ask your parents to buy it for you. The game shop will happily sell such a game to your dad, and what he then does with it is up to him.
It is rated M for mature, but you can choose to turn off blood and gore when you buy the game.
walmart
The next rated M game is coming out on 5/15/2011
go to the options menu on the game and turn the voice volume to zero and then go to the graphic content and restrict it.
