I think that there are three in-game trades. One is a boy in Eterna city who trades you a Chatot for a Buizel. One is a woman in Snowpoint city who trades you a Haunter for a Medicham. One is a woman in Oreburgh where you trade a Machop for an Abra. actually 4. as far as i know. Theres a man on the water in a house that will trade his magikarp for a finneon. on route 226.

At the ingame start menu, there will be an option to "transfer Pokemon from game". but it will only appear if you have already defeated the Pokemon league.
