Ancient bones are only obtained by speaking to Father Aereck in Lumbridge Church after completion of The Restless Ghost quest. Father Aereck gives the player 5 of these bones as a reward and each bone gives 200 prayer experience when buried.
Ancient bones are the best bones at the moment, beating ourg bones by 60 exp. However, only 5 can be obtained from the Restless Ghost quest. They cannot be ground at theEctofuntus or offered at an gilded altar.
