Determining the volume of an egg through mathematics is quite difficult; one must have not only a clear understanding of geometry but calculus as well. However, what I can tell you is that a plastic Easter egg has a volume of 70 cubic centimeters; 70 cubic centimeters is equal to 4.73396316 U.S. tablespoons.
If you'd like to know the formula for finding the volume of egg-shaped objects so that you can determine the volume of a specific sized egg, then visit the following Web address:

One large egg is approximately 3 tablespoons.
One large egg contains about 3 tablespoons. 2/3 of it is the white, 1/3 is the yolk. So the white is about 2 tablespoons.
In terms of volume a large grade A egg is generaly50 mil's.

generally speaking, one chicken egg weighs 2 ounces more or less. It usually takes up the volume of about 3 tablespoons, 1 1/2 fl. oz.. Eggs can be as small as a teaspoon or as large as two cups, depending mostly on the bird that lays the egg.
One egg contains about one tablespoon of egg yolk and two tablespoons of egg white about 1 fl. oz of egg white per egg
Two tablespoons of anything is an ounce in volume (not weight).
Since tablespoons are a volume measure, and gram is a weight measure, there is no way to convert one to the other.
One large egg white = 1 fluid oz., or 2 tablespoons. 2 large egg whites = 1/4 cup 4 large egg whites = 1/2 cup These are approximations, of course, depending on the size of the egg, but they come close enough. Handy for those who use "all whites" that come in a milk carton, which for some reason doesn't include this information.
2.5 oz 1 oz = 2 tbsp 1 tbsp = 0.5 oz
The volume of 1 cup = 16 tablespoons 3/8 of 16 tablespoons is 6 tablespoons.
i think you may use one large egg in place of one extra large egg or vice versa without much difference. A bit perhaps but doable. usually when a recipes calls for egg they mean a large egg.
