DevinI have never understood why people think going barefoot is gross.Your skin is "designed" to keep out germs and bacteria ,so unless you have a cut on the bottom of your foot you have nothing to worry about. As for it being dangerous people always say there are needles,broken glass or nails everywhere but that IS JUST NOT TRUE. Even if there was unless it's a roofing nail it's not going to be on the ground with the point up anyway and if you go barefoot a lot your feet are thick enough that broken glass will not cut you. And personally I don't care if I step in peoples spit or whatever because I'm not going to put my feet in my mouth anyway

Why do women like being barefoot?
No because in many social situations, it is not acceptable .Yes, not everywhere, but in many places & situations it is considered acceptably casual for women to to go barefoot but for men it is often seen as oafish & silly.It seems that women don"t get hassled as much as men for being in stores barefoot. I go barefoot alot to stores and I see women do it too, but the clerks seem to say something only to me. I think its more common to see women in bare feet so that are more tolerant to them.
