The Wedding March by Mendelssohn is not the same song as the "Here Comes the Bride" song. The song known as "Here Comes the Bride" is "The Bridal Chorus" by Lohengrin.

The Mendelssohn march is the one that sounds a little bit like the Throne Room Fanfare from Star Wars: A New Hope

It is actually the Bridal March from Richard Wagner's "Lohengrin". I haven't seen the Opera, but assume the original lyrics (sung by the bridal chorus) are in German.
