Who would win in a battle Mario or sonic?

Sonic and Shadow would win, because Shadow CAN stop time and defeat mario and luigi, while sonic can turn super and knock luigi like a Bowling ball. Mario might have fireballs, but Shadow has electric spears. Luigi has fireballs, Sonic has the speed of light. End Of Discussion.

Well, in truth, there are multiple factors to who could win

Weaponry/power-ups: Luigi has a wider variety’s of power ups that would give him an overwhelming advantage. Whereas Shadow only has the Chaos Emeralds. Unless he used all seven at once to multiply his power, Luigi would easily overpower base form Shadow.

Transformations/Forms: Clear winner in my opinion. Though the super star makes Luigi invincible for a short time, it‘a very limited. Whereas Shadow using all seven Chaos Emeralds can turn into Super Shadow, who is also invincible. Main difference however, Super Shadow’s time limit is based off the amount of rings he has.

But that’s not his ONLY form. You’ll most likely notice that Shadow wears these golden rings on his wrist, well, those rings are known as “prohibiter rings”, and as the name implies, they are meant to supress an immense amount of Chaos Energy inside him. When he removes them, he can become what is known as Chaos Shadow, which is pretty much a red all around fur coloured version of Shadow who has unbelievable power! {Note: This is not as great a power multiplier as Super Shadow, but it is still a large one nonetheless}. He can remove them while in his Super form as well, bringing him to new heights of power. But the moment he does that, he will almost instantly revert back to base Shadow. - (All in all, Shadow most likely has the advantage in this area)

Area/habitat: One of the biggest factors will be this, where will said fight take place? If it is in an area like greenhills or in space, Shadow definitely has the advantage! Shadow can maneuver far better than Luigi can and can hover {Thanks to his special shoes he wears} even in his base form. Not to mention he can also use Chaos Control {Travel through space time, or warp} to teleport himself around and he can also breath in outer space and won’t be shown down by the cold! But if it is in an area within the Mario game… Due to the fact that Shadow won’t have a way of getting rings to help him out {Even if he doesn’t need rings or we took that aspect out for Super} Luigi will have access to all the objects he needs to change into his different forms. (In an evened out area where everyone has everything they need to fully utilize their power, it’s either a draw or Luigi wins by a small bit due to a wider variety of powers)

Physical aspects: Okay, I’m going to make this very simple… Shadow is NOT as fast as Sonic is! He is ALMOST as fast as Sonic. However, Luigi is stronger. Plain and simple. In terms of brute physical strength, Luigi wins. But if it is speed, Shadow easily overwhelms Luigi. (Simplistically put, even IF Luigi could somehow manage to match Shadow’s base speed, with Chaos Control, Shadow could easily go move a thousand times faster) - (Henceforth, Shadow most likely wins this one. If Luigi even tried to hit Shadow while he was moving at serious speed, it would be impossible)

skill: Okay, this one is indeed hard. Luigi is a somewhat unpredictable and insane fighter. He isnt entirely that fighter Mario is, but don’t underestimate him. However, Shadow is pretty much just as, if not, more skilled than Sonic is. He possess long range energy blast attacks, homing spindash attack, and any type of attack Sonic can pull off solo, so can he. - (Again, this comes down to other factors. If Shadow needs a Chaos Emerald and doesn’t have one on him and isn’t fighting on a planet with one, he most likely won’t win. But in a fair fight of skill and allowing usage of every attack/technique they possess, it’s a close call, but Shadow wins this one)

Finally! The one last MAJOR factor is this …

Knowledge: Okay now, both Luigi and Shadow are actually pretty smart in truth. Luigi is more creative of what I know so far. But Shadow is far more fluent and structured plus pretty keen and calm in a fight. All in all, breakdown is, Luigi‘s attacks may change/vary but might not always hit accurately. Shadow’s attacks usually hit accurately, but can be predicted if you study him well enough. - (I’d give this one to Shadow. He’s just proven that he is a much better fighter all in all)

So all in all, if you were to put these two in an even setting where they had all their power ups and whatnot, Luigi probably would loose {Slight chance he could win} But if you put them in a setting where Chaos Emeralds and Rings aren’t required and whatnot, then Shadow has the absolute advantage. {Hate to break it, Shadow could probably destroy a planet if he focused all his power. Even in his base form he could easily destroy a massive portion of Earth.}

The Winner is Sonic the Hedgehog, I know Mario has power ups he can do a lot of things, But Sonic hes fast he has Super Sonic, Hyper Sonic and Dark Sonic. So I think Sonic wins he is far stronger and Mario jumps higher and Sonic runs like 7,500.
