You really need to explore your character on your own. Everyone plays her differently. During our production of Sweeney Todd the director had the vision that Johanna was not very mentally stable. She longed for that motherly figure and unconditional love. She was very young and of course a hopeless romantic as you can tell from falling in "love" with Anthony after only knowing him for a few minutes. I don't know if this helped you any, but I hope it did.
