Who are the littluns?

"Who" are the littleuns: They are the younger boys on the beach, around 5 to 6 years old.

"How" are the littleuns: They get diarrhea when they eat the rotten fruit on the ground, and they cry for their mothers at night when they have nightmares about the beastie.
