It is unknown if there ever was a King Arthur; perhaps his stories are partly fictional and partly based upon stories of several different kings.

There is a ruin called Tintagel, which is on the west coast of Cornwall at aprox the same lattitude as Exeter.

You can find the Camelot Castle located in North Cornwall, England. The castle is now a hotel in Tintagel. It is stated that the story of Camelot is fiction and the Camelot castle is in reality the Tintagel castle.
