Not long after Majin Buu was defeated, Vegeta was taken back to the Negetive Other-World. All of the evil beings fused into a Super Evil being know as Janempa. This evil being used illusion and trickery to make Goku use a Ka-me-ha-me ha on himself. Goku went into Super Saiyen 2 and beat him up. Janempa turned into Super Janempa, this time he was much more powerful. Goku transformed into Super Saiyen 3 and Vegeta into Super Saiyen 2. The fought with the evil being but they had hardley even scratched the surface. Just like in the fight against Super Buu, they needed to fuse. This time the used the fusion techneque, instead of the potara earings. Thus forming Gogeta, he looked like a Normal Super Saiyen, but was far more powerful. He infested the other Z fighters and Vegeta confronted him. But was taken over himself, as Baby got into his body through a cut on his face. Goku, who was wished into being a kid again, by Garlic Junior, faced Baby at Super Saiyen 3. But failed to win. When he was a child Goku had a tail, thus in his childlike form, he had his tail back. This meant he could turn into an Oozaruu. A giant ape monkey thing. But this time, he was a golden Oozaruu (basicly a Super Saiyen monkey). Pan tried to make him turn back, but failed. She cried and Goku saw it. In a massive explosion of Power Goku turned into a Super Saiyen 4. He easily overcame Baby by blasting him into the Sun. But before he did that, Goku had beaten up Vegeta's body so Baby left it, and was off guard. The Z fighters then had to face a newly rebuilt Super Andriod 17. Goku defeated him, just, with a Kamehameha to the face. Then the most powerful oppenent they must ever face. A dragon, called Syn Shenron. He had absord all of the Dragon Balls exept the 4 star, which Goku swallowed. Vegeta used a Blutz Wave Generater to become Super Saiyen 4. They fought the Dragon, after absorbing the Dragonballs he became Omega Shenron. They were defeated. They fused into Super Saiyen 4 Gogeta. He was so powerful that he can only exist for 10 minutes. They tried fusing again, but Goku had used all of his power, and turned back into his normal form. Vegeta had to fight alone. No match, Vegeta was defeated. Shenron prepared to destroy Earth, but Goku had amassed a Spirit Bomb the size of the Moon, with enough power to Destroy most of the Universe. He launched it at Omega Shenron and killed him. The world was safe, now and forever. That is what happened after Majin Buu. In contradiction (that means to argue with) the answer before, Uub was only human. With a fraction of Majun Buu's power. The two (Uub and Buu) fused perminantly to create Majuub. But still his powerlevel was tiny compared to Omega Shenron. He would have been killed in under a second if Shenron wanted it. At the end pans an elder women and Gokus an adult again, Goku jr and Vegeta jr are in there first World martial arts tournament, Pan see's Goku but when she gets to him hes alreay gone. He flew away on the Flying Nimbus with his power pull. That's how GT ended

Goku becomes super saiyan 2 when he is training in a special room at Kami's lookout. It allows a year to pass in the room, while real time in the outside world is just a day. He acheived SS2(Super Saiyan 2) right before he battled cell. So did his son Gohan. Even though Goku was stronger than ever at that time, Gohan was stronger than Goku, achieving SS1 and SS2 in the special room. Gohan was the first one to go SSJ2. Goku became an Ultimate SSJ in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Goku went SSJ2 for the first to battle Majin Vegeta, which was about 7 years later.
