Get a power drill, get a measurement of the size hole you want, purchase a hole saw and head for the measured size. Then take some measuring tape and measure out dead center from all side of the table, use a protractor or whatever you prefer to give you guide lines (if you need them), then drill your hole. Otherwise, find a handyman who will do it for you.

Here are some helpful tips that I use: - remove any items that are brightly colored and replace them with white items. - paint your walls white with a high gloss finish. you can also use an ivory or cream color if you don't think bright white will look good. - buy some white Massie- like items for your room in white or your white- like color. some items that Massie has in her room are: a white chaise, white mirrored pedestal night table, a sleigh bed (she also has a mini one for her puppy.), a white iMac, white sheepskin rug, and a white TV. - pick a new favorite color and add some items in that color to your room. (don't pick purple, because if you do, you'll be an eternal wannabe and Massie would never do that. She would pick a new color that not many people at her school like.) - keep a vase of fresh flowers in your room and replace them when they get wilted. - put up some simple posters of things you like. don't put up celebrity posters, they make your room look cluttered. - keep your room clean and organized if you want to achieve that Massie- perfect room. - if you can, get a phone line hooked up in your room on a bedside or mini coffee table. (remember white,) - keep not too many pieces of furniture in your room other that the necessary ones like a bed, dresser etc... you want your room to look as big as it can.
Area rugs under the dining room table can highlight the dining area in an already carpeted room. They create an intimate dining atmosphere by adding additional color and style to the room. Area rugs can also help to hide extra dirt that may be on the carpet. If you choose to use an area rug over an existing rug a rug mat is not needed.
There are a lot of options for floor heating for any size room. You can get mats that get installed under your floor and will heat the enitre space that you can have someone install, or if you have a large area rug you can get a mat that you put under the rug and they come in many sizes and are easy to use.

The main use of a rug pad is to stop your rug from sliding on the floor. It not only keeps your rug in place, it also helps to protect your floors and keeps you safe from tripping or falling over the rug.
There are several ways to clean a silk oriented rug. Firstly, it is advised to never give your rug to a dry cleaner since they use chemicals to clean the rug that are meant for clothes. It is always advisable to give your rug to a professional rug cleaner who will use ample water and sunlight to clean the rug. However, for day to day maintenance, it is advised to vacuum the rug but in the direction of the pile of the rug and not against it.

There is a program I use to create a latchhook pattern from any photo, picture, etc. The simpler the picture, the better rug it will create, alternativiely as you increase the size of the rug, the picture becomes more detailed. Are you looking for a completed rug, or a kit to do yourself?
I have found that most people do not use a area rug when they have carpet.
A hearth rug is usually made from fire resistant materials. A hearth rug is good to use around a fireplace rather than a normal rug to prevent any accidental rug fires.
Area rugs offer many benefits. They not only beautify any area, but they can also help to quite any room as they absorb sound. They will make the area safer as they create a non-slippery surface to walk on. They can create a focal point in a room, or create a visual divider in the room. They also just feel great under your feet. Best of all, you can use area rugs as the decorative accent in your room, and as the inspiration for decorating the space. Choosing the Size Will your area rug go under the furniture, or sit smartly in front of it? Will you place one under the dining table? What about the front hallway? These are all considerations that will affect the size rug you purchase. Once you decide where you want an area rug, get a measurement for that area. Take into account heavy furniture that can not be easily moved, as you probably do not want to run the area rug under those pieces. You should also take any floor vents into account. Finally, look at any doors that might open over the rug. Take a moment to measure the clearance for the doors so that you don’t wind up with a rug that is too plush. Placing the Area Rug Most area rugs have attractive patterns on them. The point of this pattern is to see it. If you bury the rug under furniture, then your lovely pattern will be no longer be visible. Try to place the rug so that most of it will be visible. The front legs of couches can be placed on the rug, but ideally you would not put the entire couch on the rug. Coffee tables are great on area rugs, as long as you can still see and enjoy the pattern. Focal Point and Inspiration Your area rug can be a focal point for the room. As the focal point, you can pull wall color, curtain design and accessory ideas from the rug. But you don’t have to limit yourself to this. For example, rugs with floral patterns can be lovely contrast to contemporary furniture. A geometric rug can bring a new level of interest to a traditional decorating theme. Don’t be afraid to mix and match to find the perfect look for your space. If your room is full of knick-knacks and collectibles, choose a more basic rug to keep the space from feeling overwhelming. Open spaces with less collectibles can benefit from the added interest of a busier pattern.
If it is necessary to paint a hair-on cowhide rug, use spray paint for fabric. If latex or oil paint is used it will make the rug stiff and sticky.
