There have been hundreds of films in history that have been originally rated X for violence, over time they have either been re-rated NC-17, R, or the now-overly-popular: Unrated. I cannot name them all but I can give you a good list of films originally rated X for violence:

Straw Dogs, The Wild Bunch, Bonnie And Clyde, The Last House On The Left, The Hills Have Eyes, Henry: Portrait Of A Serial Killer, Robocop, Total Recall, Dawn Of The Dead, A Clockwork Orange, Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, Taxi Driver, Basic Instinct (combination of sex and graphic violence), Scarface, Hard Target, Friday The 13th, My Bloody Valentine, Dressed To Kill.
