The only person that is capable of really knowing the answer to this question is Demi herself. She is the only one that knew what it was like facing her emotional struggles. What the public knows is that she was placed in a treatment center for emotional issues and self harm. With all of her personal issues and pressure in the life she was living it all just kind of built up into her being unhappy and she starting developing an eating disorder and she was physically harming herself. Basically, she was just at an unhappy time in her life and after getting treatment she turned over a new leaf and turned the page in her book. So, the public should just let it be and let her be happy with her new start.
