Demi Lovato started Sonny With a Chance back in FFeb 2010 and ended in Jan 2011.
According to Miss Lovato's company ref, Demi had 'quit the show' in which Miss Lovato quoted: "It made sense for me to go ahead and leave the show to focus on my music," Lovato tells People. "It's kind of sad for me that a chapter of my life has ended but there couldn't be a better time for me to move on."
In 2010, Demi Lovato was touring with the Jones Brother, (Kevin, Joe and Nick), in which she left early after hitting one of her backing dancers in the eye after Miss Lovato believed that Alex Welsh (The dancer that got assaulted) had told someone about her 'wild' ways.
That was when she left the tour with The Jonas brothers and went and checked into a treatment centre.
Truth be told, Demi actually went into rehab for at the time (Apr '11) unknown reasons other than 'physical and emotion problems'. It wasn't until a while into the treatment that it was revealed that Demi Lovato went into rehab for self-harming, bulimia and later found out that she had Bipolar II.
Evalution:
Disney channel is a channel that is watched by all ages. Having Demi Lovato on the show with her problems would set a wrong example for the younger generations who watch this.
Demi got two choices:
1) She quit the show for 'personal reasons'
OR
2) They fired her and it wouldn't look good on her CV when she wants to apply for other offers in both the music and movie industries.
