For the upcoming Disney Movie "The Frog Princess," the difference will be that it has Disney's first African American princess.

That AND its in the USA in New Orleans, in the 1920ish era. Which shall make it very interesting to see how they pull off that story. I would much rather have her be a normal European princess, she can be black and all,(adopted maybe???) no problems there, just the time period is way off. I think that if Disney wants to appease the black community than they should find a African Princess story and make it just as amazing as the ones they have done,(European like attire) just base it on there heritage. They have some really good ones, I have read many.

* Oh and I am not racist so do not try and say I seem to be, if that's what you think. I just like stories to be as close to the original storyline as possible, because they are awesome stories.

The Princess and the Frog is an animated film from Walt Disney Studios about a princess named Tiana who kisses a frog and unfortunately turns into a frog herself! It was released on December 11, 2009 and is now available on DVD and Blu-Ray.

The princess and the frog is also an ancient fairy tale, which like many ancient Fairy Tales was taken over by the Disney Corp. for their own purposes. Many of us knew this story long before it was Disneyised.

It is about a girl, Tiana, who is hard working and determined but one night after her dream being crushed she makes a wish upon a star and a frog, a lay-back prince, hops up on a balcony and requests to be kissed by a princess. Unfortunately Tiana looked like a princess. But Tiana wasn't a true princess, making her a frog as well once they kissed. Thus, sending them on a quest to find help to become human.

The movie is based on a book by E. D. Baker called 'The Frog Princess'.
