Though THIS is a matter of opinion here are some extremely good cards, if you can get them on the field.

The Creator of Light Horakhti. When you bring back Ra in Phoenix mode, it will incinerate anything in its path. But when you fuse three god cards, it will form a monster that will end the duel. The Creator of Light Horakhti. Obelisk the Tormentor will require two sacrifiaces to make his force Infinite and destroy all monsters. exodia doesn't stand a chance against the two god cards. Exodia will be crushed by eather of those effects.

Here's a bit more incentive.

The strongest single "Legal" card is a tie between Five Headed Dragon and Dragon Master knight. Second strongest out there is Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon. The strongest normal monster is Blue-Eyes White Dragon.

Some others are Ancient Gear Golem, Tyrant Dragon, Stardust Dragon, Cyber End Dragon, and Goyo Guardian.

And for the record, the guy who spoke before me... Exodia is an automatic win. Regardless of what cards are on the field. Not even the Creator of light (Which isn't an actual Yu-Gi-Oh card as of yet) Can save you if Exodia is summoned.

Also the Crimson Dragon which needs to fuse the five lendgendary dragon that each signer has with an attack power of 7000.

Although The Wicked Avatar always has 100 attack points than the strongest monster on the field that is why he is the strongest by talking about attack power.

The strongest ATK in a Normal monster is Blue-Eyes White Dragon with 8 stars, 3000 ATK and 2500 DEF.

The most balanced, in terms of ATK and DEF stats, is Gogiga Gagagigo with 8 stars, 2950 ATK and 2800 DEF.

For DEF, Neo Aqua Madoor is the best with 3000 and 6 stars.

Frostosaurus has 2600 ATK at only 1 tribute

Gene-Warped Warwolf has the highest ATK with no tribute, 2000.

Battle Footballer is the strongest DEF on a no tribute monster, 2100.

There are many deck types. Some are take-down, some are burn. I am just a kid, I play Yu-gi-oh on the bus with mu friends. My deck is unique. My friend Rob beats every single yu-gi-oh player in school. I beat him every time. whenever I give him mercy, he has a chance of beating me. The point is, there is no best type of deck. There are only types of decks and how you use them.

There are no dominant types in Yu-Gi-Oh because they are all equally as good. Some are more common than others like 'warrior' and 'spellcaster' compared to 'sea serpent'. This however doesn't mean that they are the most dominant, many may prefer a type because of their deck strategy but on the other hand many may have a mixture of different types.

A normal monster is a monster with a yellowish border that has no effects. Instead normal monsters have a small description about the card. Examples: Blue eyes white dragon, Dark magician, Red eyes black dragon, Mystical elf, etc.
