Konan is a female shinobi in the akatsuki. She is pein (nagato)'s partner. she is the only one that calls him nagato none else in the akatsuki knows his true name. They were bestfriends as child and now sercrectly and still lies as a mystery, "lovers". They were trained by Jiraiya. Konan's power is paper. She can put C3 into paper and make explosives. Her only weakness is oil,water jutsu, liquid jutsu mostly. She is one of the strongest kunoichis in the show. She is still a mystery, no one knows that much about her yet. But shes amazing.

Her birthday is on February 20th the day right after pein's bithday.

Konan was one of the Amegakure Orphan Trio. Her past before this is currently unknown, Konan was travelling with Yahiko before meeting Nagato who was dying of starvation. Konan offered Nagato some bread and the three of them became a Trio. While travelling Amegakure they were talking about what they wanted. When Yahiko brought up his dream of ruling the world, Konan sided with him by saying "If I ruled the world, I could do whatever I want." It was soon after this, the dog that Nagto was looking after (Chibi) Was killed during an assault on Konohagakure Ninja in Amegakure. Later on, Yahiko decided that he wanted to learn ninjutsu. This led to when they first met Jiraiya.

The three orphans met Jiraiya, Tsunade and Orochimaru in the battlefield asking to learn ninjutsu. Orochimaru suggested killing the three instead of letting them grow up as orphans, though Jiraiya stated otherwise. Jiraiya looked after the three kids until Iwagakure attacked Yahiko. It was from this that Nagato's Rinnegan was activated as he was trying to defend Yahiko. When Jiraiya saw this, he decided to teach them all Ninjutsu.

Konan learnt Ninjutsu which involved her love of Origami. Using this passion, she learnt or created a technique known as Shikigami no Mai ~ Paper style dancing. With this technique, Konan could disperse her body into over a thousand pieces of paper, which using her chakra she could fold into anything. From this technique, she created others such as Kami Shuriken ~ Paper Shuriken, where she would fold paper into shuriken and hurl them at her opponent. While she was younger, a fuuton jutsu was needed to give the shuriken an extra kick, but this changed as she got more skilled enough to throw them with enough deadly force on her own. She also created Kami Bunshin no Jutsu ~ Paper clone Technique, Using this, paper will swarm in one area and reform a part of her body. during this form, Konan could release the paper at any minute or use it to make Paper wings or any other substance.

After the three orphans defeated one of Jiraiya's Kage Bunshins, he left them be. Soon after this, the leader of Amegakure ~ Hanzou, brought Danzou and AnBu "Ne" to Amegakure to Assasinate the three. He told Nagato to kill Yahiko or Konan dies. Yahiko told Nagato to kill him, which he did Unwillingly. Forced to kill his best friend, Nagato's rinnegan once again went out of controll. It was from this where he killed everyone he could, though some escaped (Including Hanzou). It was unknown how he became the leader of Amegakure, but from this day onwards he became known as PAIN.

Pain stated to have started the criminal organisation "Akatsuki", though in secret, Konan and Pain worked under Tobi (Uchiha Madara). Konan became the only female member of Akatsuki. It was said that Konan attacked Jiraiya when he infiltrated Amegakure to find Pain. Later on, Pain revealed all of his 6 bodies to Jiraiya and Jiraiya was killed after killing Pains Animals realm.

Later on, during the "Invasion of Pain" Arc, Konan was shown attacking Konoha Shinobi asking about Naruto. Later on, The Aburame clan started to eat away at Konans paper using their Kikaichuu no Jutsu. Later on, Konan was shown in a paper tree with the real body of Pain (Nagato). Nagato used Chakra recievers to send messages to the dead bodies he used. Konan suggested killing Naruto at first, but after Nagato sacrificed himself to save all those he killed (Not including Jiraiya), Konans Mind changed and she too joined the good side and became the Amegakure leader. Konan left Akatsuki, Taking Nagato and Pains Deva realm (Yahiko's Dead corpes*).

It is unknown what will happen to Konan next, but she may be brought up in future Manga. This is shown when Tobi stated going to retrieve the Rinnegan from Nagato, Seeing as Konan took his body, she may encounter Tobi.

* - Hint: Yahiko died as a teenager, though the body that's being used is about 25 - 30 years old. Try and figure that out.
