It depends on how many one wizard or witch has. for example, Lord Voldemort had six and a seventh one he never meant to make which was Harry Potter. to be able to have a horcrux that person will have to murder others which will cause their soul to split. like Lord Voldemort, he split his soul into seven pieces. in the harry potter films, one by one they were destroyed. if a horcrux gets destroyed that witch or wizard will feel pain or die if only spliting their souls once. but Lord Voldemort as known as Tom Marvolo Riddle, was obsessed with not dying even at an early age causing him to create so many.
The last Horcrux both to be made and destroyed was Nagini.
No, Fawkes is not a horcrux. Fawkes is a phoenix that belonged to Albus Dumbeldore, and most probably was his animal familiar.
Horcrux #1- the diary, Harry Potter destroyed using a basilisk fang Horcrux #2- the Gaunt Ring, killed by Dumbledore Horcrux #3- the Slytherin locket, killed by Ron Weasley with the sword of Godric Gryffindor Horcrux #4-the cup of Hufflepuff, killed by Hermione Granger by a basilisk fang Horcrux #5- the diadem of Rowena Ravenclaw, killed by Harry Potter by a fire in the Room of Requirement Horcrux #6- the snake Nagini, killed by Neville Longbottom by the sword of Godric Gryffindor Horcrux #7- Harry Potter, killed by Lord Voldemort by the "Avada Kedavra" killing curse
R.A.B. Tried to take the horcrux to destroy it, he didn't believe in the way that Voldemort was going about things.
Well the spell didn't exactly kill Harry but it killed the horcrux inside of him......now I'm going to re-read that part and think of a better answer :P
He decides to let Voldemort kill him, but all Voldemort did was kill a part of himself. Neville killed Nagini and Harry killed Voldemort with Expelliarmus
When Voldermort first 'tried' to kill him
I guess you mean "Voldemort"? That's because Voldemort tried to kill Harry, but when he did, he actually made a Horcrux. Harry is the horcrux, but he is Harry as well. The Horcrux inside Harry gets killed in the last book.
To kill collect all the horcrux' and kill Voldemort. Also, he wants to be with Ginny Weasley.
The reason he's an unintended horcrux is because the night he tried to kill Harry, he put a piece of his soul inside him(how you make a horcrux). He didn't mean to, though.
If you read it, you shall see... SPOILER ALERT!! If you don't want to know what happens, don't read this: Harry is a Horcrux. He has to kill himself in order to kill Voldemort. When he does, he come back to life later and Voldemort dies.
Using the venom from it's fangs.. . .The basilisk's venom is one of the substances used to destroy a Horcrux, which is why Ron and Hermione go down into the Chamber of Secrets in Deathly Hallows, so that they can find a fang from the basilisk's skeleton and use to to destroy Hufflepuff's chalice, the Horcrux.
Yes! That's how Voldemort dies.
If you're talking about Nagini then he cuts her head off with the Sword of Gryffindor. :)
Lord Voldemort tried to kill him but instead of killing him he destroyed the horcrux inside of him
No, he didn't die because he was Horcrux. Had he not been a Horcrux the killing curse would have killed Harry, instead of just the Horcrux.
So you mean how was the horcrux in Harry destroyed? Well voldimort tried to kill him but instead destroyed the horcrux inside Harry, so Harry was no longer one of voldimorts horcruxes. This happened in Harry potter 7
