Jabberjays - mutt birds designed by the Capitol - mimick screams of the victors' loved ones causing them to think that those people are in the arena and undergoing pain.

my personal favorites are "We're already married" and "If it weren't for the baby" and "If you die and I live, there's no life for me in district 12. You're my whole life."
24 chapters is wrong . There are 27 in each book
In the 25th Hunger Games, the tributes were voted into place by the people of their own district. In the 50th Hunger Games, four tributes were chosen from each district instead of the usual two. This put twice as many people in the arena, and made it twice as brutal. Haymitch Abernathy won in the second Quarter Quell. The 75th Hunger Games had past victors from earlier Hunger Games compete for a second time. This action was made to destroy any bonds the districts had with each other and to make them feel weak. It was meant to be a reminder to the citizens of the districts that "even the strongest among them cannot overcome the power of the Capitol".
If you really want to know you should read the books.. But yes she does go twice once for her sister and then one after the country starts having uprisings because of her she & Peeta go both times and they both survive both times
The whole arena is a clock. Each hour, some horible event happens in that hour in the arena. Causing some people to die.
Well the hunger games and catching fire are set in the same place, except the arena in catching fire is different
It will be about, Katniss and Peeta's victory tour and then when they find out each living victor will be put back in the arena but they pick them out of the ball, like they do with the Hunger Games, and Katniss and Peeta trying to survive the arena.
It is still unknown who will play each of the characters in catching fire, but probably someone with blonde hair and green/blue eyes if possible.

The island is actually just the arena. Each arena is actually a simulator controlled by what's called the Gamemakers, who watch everything in the arena and can make anything from a volcano explosion to a thousand-mile-long inferno
The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, and Mockingjay
The problem in Catching Fire is that the year that the book is based on is the Quarter Quell. The Quarter Quell is like how The Hunger Games is every year, but with a twist to it. The Quell happens every twenty-five years, and Catching Fire is about the 75th Hunger Games. The twist for this Quarter Quell is that both tributes from each district will be chosen from the districts existing pool of victors, and District 12 only has three victors: Haymitch, Peeta, and Katniss. Since each district must send one boy and one girl, and Katniss is Twelve's only living female victor, she has no choice but to go back into The Hunger Games for the 2nd year in a row. Now, she has to face the arena again with either her former mentor, or her district partner that she won the previous Hunger Games with, both being people she loves and cares for to the highest extreme.
In "Catching Fire," the 12 tortures, or "tributes," are not explicitly listed as a distinct set; rather, they refer to the challenges and dangers faced by the tributes during the Hunger Games. Each tribute must navigate various deadly obstacles and traps set by the Gamemakers, which include natural hazards like fire, poisonous fog, and muttations that resemble deceased tributes. The concept of torture reflects the psychological and physical torment the tributes endure in the arena, designed to entertain the Capitol's audience while reinforcing the oppressive control of the government.
The weapons they got depended on what their best skills were and the skills they demonstrated while being observed in the training arena. Sometimes, the weapons he or she got depended on what District that person was in. For example, in Catching Fire, Finnick got a trident because he's from District 4 and their primary "resource" is fishing
in the first book (the hunger games) there is 374 in the second book (catching fire) there is 391 and in the last one (mocking jay) there is 390
Yes, he was. Each Tribute has a specific talent or feature. Finnick's 'talent' was his good looks, and the Capitol used him to make money.
